In vitro fertilization evaluation – A new system for stimulating ovulation in women undergoing in vitro fertilization has been evaluated. Experts say that the results are promising, since 12 children were born after 53 women were given a single injection of a natural hormone, kisspeptin.  Using this, the pregnancy rate was 23% (J Clin Invest, 18 July 2014; doi: 101172/JCI75730). Surprisingly, experts consider this percentage of pregnancies, not of children born, as “good results”, when many assisted procreation clinics, if not most, say they have much higher pregnancy rates.
