What about male fertility? It is widely accepted that the likelihood of becoming a mother decreases with age in women. However, there are few studies on male fertility. This has now been evaluated however, and has shown that, like in women, the possibility of becoming a father decreases with age. Thus, men over 35 years have 50% less chance of having a child after 12 months of normal sexual intercourse, compared to those aged under 25 (Fertility and Sterility 103; 1402-1406,2015).
