The possibility of human cloning continues to raise major bioethical controversy. This technique has been proposed with three relevant specific ends: the purely reproductive end, as a source of material for organ transplantation and for studying human diseases (see the two primates recent cloned).
Human cloning controversy
In relation to this, many experts and various organizations consider that these types of experiments should not be done. Although healthy adults could obtain their clone using these techniques, a possibility that for some are not so far.
Nevertheless, cloning humans from fetal cells to produce organs that can be used in transplants or for medical experiments could be a real possibility which also arises ethical problems (Article of Bioethics. 2018;32:146).
