The Jérôme Lejeune Foundation and the Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life have launched a free e-book “Keys to Bioethics”, which makes the contents of the ‘Bioethics Manual for young people’ available to all. The Jérôme Lejeune Foundation itself has produced four editions of the book and has now completed it with the vision of the Magisterium of the Catholic Church. The material is accessible in English, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.

Card. Kevin Farrell, Prefect of the Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life, declares “with this Manual we wish to offer young people around the world a practical and up-to-date tool to answer some of the questions that clutter their minds when faced with the great challenges generated by scientific and technological progress. These are straightforward, simple yet comprehensive answers that can help young people grasp the truth about the beauty and uniqueness of every human life.”

“Keys to Bioethics – A Manual for Youth” objectively presents the major questions of bioethics that everyone asks themselves. Based on science and reason, but within the ultimate horizon of theology and the Magisterium of the Church, Keys to Bioethics allows the reader to understand in a simple way, thanks to precise and rigorous information, that human life is beautiful and that it is necessary to have a look of wonder towards it, to remove the obstacles that cloud our understanding of it. “If these pages manage to increase our knowledge about life and make us understand that we all have a mission as guardians over every human life, then they will have achieved their goal,” said Jean Marie Le Méné, President of the Jérôme Lejeune Foundation.
